On the 22nd of September, the JCHS JV and Freshmen teams merged to face Heritage High School. In a hard fought battle, the Heritage Pride beat our Knights 16-14 in a tightly contested match. Even though the Freshmen and JV teams merged, only a handful of freshmen saw the field, most notably QB Cole Rogstad. Rogstad was electrifying on the ground before leaving the game due to a hand injury.
Freshman Owen Mollerup suited up for the game but did not play and had some thoughts on the game, “I felt like we succeeded more with more people because we could sub people out and in and some of the freshmen did not play but it was a good experience.” Mollerup also stated that the loss of Rogstad to injury was, “not great for the JV team during the game and it’s even worse for the Freshmen team as a whole.” In the end JCHS lost to Heritage High but are looking for a bounce back win against Loudoun County High School.
