As students end their first semester of the year, it is time to come up with ideas for the future, and what classes the students at Champe plan on taking. The course-elective fair is an annual event, and with five months left in the school year, it will be held on Friday, January 26. This year, they are offering new classes that have not been taught at Champe before, like AP Human Geography, Data Science, and more.
“The elective fair aids me in better understanding and gaining an idea of the classes I will be taking the next school year,” sophomore Roshini Muthu said. “By meeting teachers, I can ask personal questions to comprehend the difficulty levels to properly pick my classes,”
A specific schedule is held on the day of the elective fair, fitting in every class of the day, while still including three sessions for elective classes that the students pick to see through. Each session usually consists of the teacher furthering the attendees understanding of the course, informing them of what to expect, providing some advice, and a warm welcome. Overall, the fair will last 45 minutes, between advisory and up to the start of the second block. The course-elective fair is an experience that greatly benefits the student body at Champe, providing a helping hand for deciding the following year’s classes.
