Parkview High School Urges for Renovation by LCPS
On Tuesday, a staff member at Parkview High School issued a statement via the PVHS PTSA instagram urging for a renovation.
Parkview High School, located in Loudoun County, Virginia, was built in 1973. For the last few months, Sophie Fowler and several from the Parkview community have demanded that the county take part in a proper renovation.
“By 2024, we will have more students than our school can hold,” Fowler said in the statement. “The county continues to build large new facilities in more affluent areas, while our school remains gravely neglected.”
While advanced schools, such as Lightridge HS and Independence HS, are being built with state of the arch technology, schools like Parkview continue to remain untouched. Following Tuesday’s Post, the PVHS PTSA has continued to post reports of mold, leaks, and flooding in their building. PVHS is the educational facility for a majority of minorities, 74.6% are economically disadvantaged.
