On Jun. 6, 2025, John Champe High School had its production of Friday Knight Live (FKL), which consists of five one act plays written by theatre seniors at the school. Seniors at JCHS would write, cast and direct their own shows and communicate with students in the tech crews to make their productions. The first show performed was directed by Nox Toth and Max Talha. The second show was directed by Nat Thiessen, the third show was directed by Dineen Meriwether, the fourth show was directed by Salem Kellum and the fifth show was directed by Zac Ellis.
βI had a great time at the show,β 10th grade English teacher Lindsey Gries said. βIt was both profound and funny and a great show of student directing and acting ability.β
