Season 7 of Love Island USA, hosted by Ariana Madix, officially came out on Peacock this Tuesday at 9 pm, marking the start of summer. In Episode 1, contestants entered the Fiji villa with high energy, ready to kick off their journey to find love. At the end of the first episode, following a drama-filled coupling up, the final couples were: Yulissa Escobar and Ace Greene, Olandria Carthen and Taylor Williams, Chelley Bissainthe and Austin Shepard, Huda Mustafa and Jeremiah Brown, and Belle-A Walker and Nick Vansteenberghe. After the first episode, however, controversial clips of Escobar saying racial slurs surfaced, prompting her removal from the villa in Episode 2. The Love Island team has declined to comment on her departure.
“It doesn’t even really feel like summer until Love Island comes out,” Junior Jenny Zheng said. “I love watching everyone’s drama, and so far I really like how crazy the new season has been.”
