John Champe’s Choral Banquet is being held on June 4th in the cafeteria from 5pm to 7pm. This banquet celebrates the 24-25 school year, giving awards and recognition to choir students of all classes. These awards can be given because a student got 100 ´ s on all of their sight reading formative and summative assignments, had participated in district choir, state choir and/or senior choir. Students will also be given a metal for Life Long Learner award if that student plans on going into the music field.
¨I think this banquet is important because it creates community,¨ choral teacher Meleanie Black said, ¨ and I think it’s important to be able to foster a community between ensembles.”
