Memorial Day is a time for Americans to pause and honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in military service to our country. Celebreated as the last monday in the month of May, families gather together to celebrate and remember their loves ones who fought for their country. Across the nation, people also go visit cemeteries and attend parades. Memorial Day is also categorized by the three-day long weekend in May, which unofficially marks the start of summer. Famiies can also spend this weekend shopping for those memorial day deals or visiting the pools that had just opened up. Memorial day deals have become so widespread, they’ve become a tradition for companies and their consumers to go all out on this three-day weekend. For seniors who are geting ready to graduate, many of them used this weekend to either complete and finish all their assignments, or get ready for their graduations.
“I spent my memorial weekend shopping for graduation dresses,” senior Mini Sagr said. “I have my graduation in June, so I wanted to shop for graduation when there were all those deals going on.”
