The end of the 2024-2025 school year is quickly approaching, staff and students at John Champe High School have already started to count down the days until summer break! Some individuals have countdowns on their phones or cross the days on a visual calendar. However, the counseling office has a big bulletin board to display the number of days left. Their bulletin board this year is Pac-Man themed; each day gone is a circle that Pac-Man eats!
“Each morning I arrive and move the Pac-Man,” counseling administrative assistant Samantha Girardi said. “I also enjoy when people come in and discover how close we are to summer!”
It’s not just about the countdown for Girardi, she loves it when her bulletin board takes individuals by surprise. Looking at it every day gives a sense of hope regarding summer for everybody who walks through the counselor’s office every day! She also couldn’t do it by herself, she has a helpful set of hands, sophomore Marie Lyles, helped Girardi build this unique board for all to see!
