The two AP weeks were filled with technical issues for test takers in many exams. AP Chemistry, AP Biology and AP Physics test takers complained that the equation sheets on the tests were too large, and switching between the equation sheets and the question took up a lot of time. As a result, many said that they weren’t able to take the test to the best of their abilities.
Champe is holding retakes for these exams in the weeks following the AP exam weeks to give students a fair opportunity. AP Psychology students were scheduled to take their exam on May 16th at 12:30, but on the day of the exam, students found themselves unable to log into Bluebook. The proctors were getting announcements from CollegeBoard that they were fixing the issue, but the anticipated start times kept getting delayed. Eventually, it became obvious that students would have to stay after school to take the exam. All students who had transportation home stayed to take the exam and students who didn’t have transportation home or had other after school commitments are taking the test on Friday, May 23rd.
“I was a little frustrated because I spent so long studying for psych and I felt ready to take it that day,” junior Laila Naqvi said. “It sucks that I have to study again for the exam next Friday.”
