A heated feud between rapper Bhad Bhabie and influencer Alabama Barker has erupted, sparking allegations of romantic relationships between Bhabie’s boyfriend and Barker that have escalated to diss tracks, social media confrontations and threats of violence.
The drama blew up on social media with both girls dropping diss tracks and posting online. Fans aren’t sure if it is real of just for publicity, but it has gotten fans and many speculating and talking.
“When Alabama and Bhad Bhabie came out with their diss tracks, I got so invested into their drama,” sophomore Hemani Mair said. “If it’s a publicity stunt, they’re doing a good job at it”.
The feud occurred in December of 2024 when Bhad Bhabie accused Alabama Barker of engaging in a relationship with her significant other, Le Vaughn, during a period when Bhabie was undergoing chemotherapy. Bhabie soon went to social media app Instagram to express her feelings.
“A man is going to be a man, as men will be men,” Bhabie said on TikTok, “but a girl that knows about you and calls you a friend is a whole different level of disrespect.”
Alabama Barker, daughter of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, responded by stating that Le Vaughn had misrepresented his relationship status, claiming he was single. She emphasized that she and Bregoli were never close friends, describing their relationship as acquaintances.
“We were more like acquaintances than anything,” Barker said on Instagram live , “LeVaughn was not honest with his relationship status”.
The feud quickly transitioned into a rap battle. In Jan. 2025, Bhad Bhabie released the diss track “Over Cooked,” alleging that Barker had been involved with rappers Tyga and Soulja Boy, and had become pregnant by Tyga at her very young age. Both Barker and the accused artists denied these claims, even with evidence.
“Oh, you mad ‘cause you want him and ain’t get nothin’,” Babie said on TikTok, “she stupid, thought I was about to get mad and dump him”.
Barker retaliated with her own track “Cry Bhabie” in February, mocking Bregoli’s accusations and referencing her father’s support with the line, “Travis told me, ‘Go and turn up,’ it’s giving Hype Beast”.
“Alabama Barker is trying to take away from her actions with these horrible songs,” junior Yelda Etebar said, “but the drama is so interesting so I can’t complain”.
Bregoli responded with “Ms. Whitman,” a track that included a music video featuring a Travis Barker lookalike, further intensifying the feud. The song contained explicit insults and references to Barker’s family connections.
”I don’t owe anybody an apology, I stand on what I do,” Barker said on Instagram live. “If you were in my predicament, you wouldn’t act so demure.”
The feud has drawn commentary from various public figures on social media. Additionally, Barker has shifted her focus by publicly announcing her new relationship with UCLA football player Scooter Jackson, sharing videos of the couple on social media.
“This is definitely all a publicity stunt for Alabama, I think all she cares about is money,” Etebar said. “I wonder what her family thinks about all this and using that guy for even more attention than she’s getting”.
What began as a personal argument has evolved into a public saga, highlighting the issues of personal relationships and public personas of celebrities. As both parties continue to engage through music and social media, the public remains captivated by this unfolding drama.
“The drama will die down in a couple months, but Alabama and Babie need to handle whatever’s going on off the internet,” Mair said. “My whole for you page on TikTok is surrounded with their drama and I can’t wait to see what happens next”.
