Softball and baseball are nearing the peak of their seasons after playing through March and April. They began district games this week against Loudoun County high school, with softball also having their senior night on Thursday. The schedules that both sports follow leaves the important district games that count towards their actual record for the end of the season so that they can build their team and have games as practice to work together and create a stronger team.
Freshman pitcher Harper Drula on the softball team shares her thoughts on starting the next few weeks of important games, “I think it’s good that we’re starting after playing for a little bit,” Drula said. “We haven’t been doing bad so far and I feel like we can compete against other teams.”
The softball and baseball teams will both finish their games against Loudoun County High School, and then play Woodgrove and Broad Run.
