This week is National Teacher Appreciation Week—a time to recognize the incredible educators who go above and beyond for students every single day. At first glance, a teacher might just seem like someone who leads a class. But in deep thought, their impact goes far beyond the lesson plan. At Champe, students are happy to celebrate many teachers who do exactly that. Whether it’s building connections during passing time or showing up with consistent energy and care, our teachers play a major role in shaping the atmosphere of our school.
To celebrate that, Champe DECA put together a lighthearted activity to help students express their appreciation. Throughout the week, students can participate in snapping a picture with their favorite teachers, which will be printed out once sent via email (champe.deca@gmail) and displayed as a visual “thank you” wall by the Armory. Although a small gesture, it is a powerful reminder of the big impact teachers, especially here at Champe, have in our lives.
“I think it’s quite underrated of how much teachers make an impact in classrooms,” junior Patrick Bielot said. “I am just glad that during this week it highlights that and shows how it translates beyond the classroom.”
