Sinners, a vampire film directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, has taken the world by storm. The movie was released on Apr. 18, 2025. This film quickly became a box office sensation. The movie is set in 1930’s Mississippi. The movie follows a traveling brothers who return to their hometown only to find out a dark evil is waiting for them there. This movie took the world by surprise, earning $55 million dollars domestically. This makes it one of the top 100 highest-grossing horror films in U.S. history and the biggest opening for an original film since 2019.
“I am very excited to watch this movie with friends because I’ve seen the reviews and they are very good,” senior Arman Naderi said. “This movie is an action movie which is very exciting.”
The movie has earned 97% on Fandango and a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.
