This week started off wonderfully as many Champe Families celebrated Eid on monday this year. Eid is celebrated by Muslims worldwide and marks the end of a month of fasting, called Ramadan. Many students and their families got dressed in cultural attire, spent time with their loved ones, attended the mosque to pray, and ate amazing food. Traditionally, Eid is celebrated over a period of three days but students took part in most of their festivities on Monday. Students who celebrated Eid at Champe really enjoyed their long weekend and their celebrations.
“I really appreciated that we had the day off to celebrate Eid this year,” junior Mahsaa Esmati said. ‘I had a lot of fun with my family and the food was really delicious.”
