On Tuesday, Mar. 11, 2025, Varsity Softball had their first scrimmage of the season against Gainesville High School. The team had been preparing extensively for their season through weekly practices where they worked on their fielding, batting, and other tactical skills. With many new players on the team, they have been working to see where the new players can excel on the field, and help the team have a victorious season like they did in the past. The first scrimmage did not go exactly as the team had hoped, the Knights lost 2-9 against Gainesville on Gainesville’s home field, but they will look to turn things around before the season officially kicks off.
“I think that our first scrimmage went really well even though we lost because everyone worked really hard,” sophomore Molly Hamilton said. “We could definitely work on our communication as a team because that is one area that we struggle in.”
