Spring sports have finally arrived, and with a successful week of tryouts last week, the season is now in full swing. There have been some good full-team practices held and now teams are getting ready to play their first games of the year. Boys Lacrosse is the first team to play, having their first game on Mar. 5 against Westfield, and other teams like Softball and Baseball starting tomorrow.
The teams have just officially started their seasons, but have been preparing through preseason practices for a while, so they are well prepared to face good competition. Jaden Baccari, a Varsity Boys Lacrosse player, talks about the lead up to the game, “I think we are going to do fine against Westfield,” Baccari said. “I think we’re all ready to play and will have a good season.”
The spring season is a long one, but the teams are ready to kick it off and bring many wins back home to Champe.
