On Mar. 10th, 2025, the Red Cross Club, a club that aims to promote Red Cross initiatives and provide members with opportunities to participate in beneficial humanitarian activities, will be holding a percentage fundraiser at Chipotle. Members of the Champe community should go to the newly opened Chipotle at Dulles Landing between the hours of 5:00 and 9:00 pm, and mention the JCHS Red Cross Club. At the end of the night, 25% of the funds raised during the time slot for the fundraiser will go to the Red Cross Club to support their end of the year blood drive. For those unable to go in person to support the club, may order online and use the code 7YPZ6DN, to ensure that some of their proceeds go toward the Red Cross Club and their mission to help the greater community.
“The end of year blood drive is an amazing community event for students, staff members, and parents who come together to give blood to the American Red Cross,” Red Cross Club sponsor Stephanie Ryan said. “It is an all-day event and requires a great deal of planning, but essentially the American Red Cross brings in nurses/technicians to facilitate the blood donations while our club member volunteers help with set up, checking in donors, and distribution of snacks and drinks.”
“The blood donations received from our drive will be used to help accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer,” Ryan said. “Additionally, if we receive at least 30 donations, our school will receive a $500 scholarship awarded to a senior in the club!”
