The NBA All-Star game happened Sunday, Feb. 16th. The annual competition features the year’s best NBA players of the year to face off against each other. This year, the league introduced a new All-star format in a tournament style bracket with four teams. Team “Shaq” defeated Team “Chuck” 41-25 to win the tournament. Many people liked the new All-Star game style because it encourages more competitiveness.
“I watched the All-Star games; it was good because I feel like the new way they did it was interesting,” senior Ankit Puppala said. “I was rooting for Team Shaq because Shaq is one of my favorite players of all time.”
Fans are curious if the NBA will stick with their new format or if they will switch it up come next year.
