On Tuesday, Feb. 11th, Loudoun County Public Schools announced that all schools have a three hour early release due to inclement weather in the afternoon, when schools would normally be getting out. The LCPS board made this decision on Feb. 10th, Monday evening, and cancelled all after school activities.
“I think they should’ve just done a virtual school day because each class besides lunch block was 30 minutes,” Science teacher Andrew Riggleman said. “It was just a pointless day, no one got anything done since we had such limited time.”
“This was the first time i’ve ever heard of a three hour early dismissal in my teaching career,” Riggleman said. “Hopefully we never have a three hour early release and they just cancel school or make it virtual for the day.”
