The All-Virginia Chorus performance is coming in April this year, meaning that talented chorus students had their auditions last Thursday after school. The auditions consisted of four students performing the Nature song and a sight reading in front of judges. This was a blind audition, meaning that students sang before a blackout curtain to prevent bias when judging. In total, four chorus students who qualified for All-District Chorus auditioned: Sree Bethanabothla, Sreeram Bethanabothla, Reyli Fitzgerald and Hailey Coe. Students that pass this selective process participate in the All-Virginia Chorus performance on April 29th in Richmond. They will also have the opportunity to visit multiple in-state universities to explore their choir programs.
“I’m mainly excited for the performance in Richmond because the All-District one was so fun,” Sree Bethanabothla said. “It’s always interesting to meet other singers from around the state.”
