The Weeknd released his album ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ on Jan. 31st, 2025 as his most important release to date which marks his musical growth. Hurry Up Tomorrow combines the distinctive atmospheric elements of The Weeknd with fresh production techniques. The album uses multiple musical elements that range from Brazilian funk to synth-pop which generates an extensive movie-like sound. The album becomes repetitive with it’s main theme focusing on loneliness and fame struggles yet its musicality keeps listeners engaged throughout its 22 tracks.
“The whole album feels like a movie the way he [The Weeknd] is able to seamlessly blend each song into one another,” junior Ibrahim Popal said. “The album marks the end of the Weeknd and the start of Abel”.
