This week’s Avalon Tech interest meeting was a huge success, attracting a large crowd of eager students. The event saw a diverse group, but what stood out most was the abundance of freshmen, all ready to learn. To make use of the time, the meeting consisted of important information as well as short introductions. All teachers, Tech departments and their leads were introduced with a little welcome speech and presentation. After everyone was ready, the group was split into their desired sections, and were able to meet the rest of their team.
Once all participants were gathered, department heads got to go into detail about their job and what was expected of the crew. A tour of the space was also given to ensure that all students knew where to go and what to do. Since this was the first day, tasks were planned and given out for future meetings. “Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to learn so much from just the first day,” Nora Hattabaugh said. “I’m really excited to start working on the show and see it come to life with so many months of hard work.” It was an inspiring day for all students that visited.
