John Champe High School DECA just came back from their district competition with outstanding placements. There were more than 45 people who qualified for states at districts. DECA students did some celebrating but it doesn’t take long for them to get back to work, students are already preparing for States on March 1-3.
“We are doing lots of workshops after school,” DECA president Annika Villareal said. “We also have testing coming up for people who are going to states.”
Besides doing workshops twice a week after school for both roleplay and writers, they also finalize their papers, making sure that they all are prepared for their next competition. Making sure that their team is confident and have all the resources they need to be the best competitors is why they win. John Champe DECA does not rest, they are two steps ahead of everyone else, making sure that their skills are sharp and ready to compete at states.
