Champe SCA released the theme for the upcoming Winter Formal last week: A Knight on Broadway. In the week before Winter Formal, there will be Champe’s second winter spirit week which takes inspiration from iconic New York neighborhoods and staples. Tuesday’s theme will be Wall Street v.s. Street Wear, Wednesday is for dressing up like your favorite celebrity, Thursday is all about Broadway musicals and on Friday, dress up in class colors. Students who dress up can come in early at 9:15 to earn points for their class. The Winter Formal itself is on Saturday, Feb. 8th and the dress code is black and white business casual or semi casual. This year, SCA members are introducing a unique concept: VIP sections. With an extra $20-40, students can reserve a portion of the dance floor that only them and 11 other friends can enter. These VIP sections, each named after a New York neighborhood, also get perks including VIP wristbands, food delivery, a custom banner, LED furniture and more.
I’m excited most for the different seats we have that you can rent out,” SCA member Delaney Neal said. “It’s something different and not something most schools have.”
