John Champes Avalon Theater Company performed their one-act play, Rue, in The Vault at Capital One Hall on Jan. 10th. While their performance was limited to a set amount of time, multiple actors from the play received awards. Those actors include Dineen Merriweather (best physical work, top actor, superior solo acting and MT), Charlotte Long (best physical work, top actor, superior acting, and superior playwriting ), Caroline Chatman (Superior dance Duet and MT solo, as well as an on-stage call back) and Nat Thesisen (Superior Dance duet).
“I did the duet with my friend Caroline Chatman and we worked hard to choreograph the number and spent time understanding our roles and exploring different dance elements,” senior Nat Thesisen said. “I was so thrilled when I found out we got a superior, and it was a great reflection of our hard work. I was so lucky to do it with her, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity the our success!”
