The Holidays are just around the corner, and John Champe High School students are embracing the holiday cheer! Since staff and students have a two-week vacation during the holidays, they want to participate in traditions that they cannot do over winter break with one another. The Knights are doing activities such as a winter spirit week, a winter showcase, and ugly sweater competitions! Some teachers like to do traditions with their students like Secret Santa.
“Since we are the yearbook staff I want to make sure we feel like a family,” yearbook advisor Corinne Miller said. “Doing Secret Santa is a great way for my staff to bond during the holidays.”
Teachers set up Secret Santa so their students can bond with one another like family during the holidays. Miller’s students got a twenty-dollar budget to get a gift for one classmate, as well as, Chipotle for the class as a holiday surprise! The holidays are all about being surrounded by friends and family, students and teachers feel that their peers at school are individuals they should share these holiday moments with!
