Every year, John Champe holds a book fair in the library funded by the company Scholastic. These book fairs encourage students to read and be more adventurous in reading by giving students many different kinds of books and genres that are targeted towards teens. Though these fairs aren’t only surrounded around books and reading. As these fairs also sell fidgets, journals, notebooks, posters, stuffed animals, and much more.
“The book fair is important because it gives students access to purchase reading materials at school,” librarian Ms.Anderson said. “I always look forward to how excited student are to shop and browse the books.”
