On Dec. 4, 2024 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, John Champe High School’s band classes had their winter concert. Concert Bands 1 – 4 worked to put together songs for their audience. Songs like Irish Rhapsody and Infinite Possibilities were played along with a number of Christmas songs. Members like Sophomore Amina Kullow, a clarinet player for Concert Band 2 played Joy, Yorkshire, and Across the Alaskan Snow. When one band was playing, the other two were sitting in the audience, watching their peers play. Each band received their music in early October and practiced diligently since.
“I was actually nervous, but it was fun playing and I think we all enjoyed the concert,” Kulow said. “The concert was an overall success and I really enjoyed the music from all three bands.”
