Champe’s Human Trafficking Awareness Club’s annual Dressember challenge began this week. HTAC clubs all over the nation participate in the fundraising challenge in attempts to raise awareness surrounding human trafficking. This is done by individuals having their own Dressember accounts where they can set fundraising goals to be donated to the Global Survivor Network, an organization that helps bring human trafficking victims justice and to safety. Specifically, you can go to individuals in the club’s fundraising pages to donate to their link and help support the cause!
“Dressember is a way to use fashion to make a statement and support a good cause,” HTAC member Hemani Mair said. “Members or people who would like to participate in the event can wear skirts, dresses, ties, or anything fashionable throughout the month of December to get people’s attention and spread awareness for Human Trafficking in hopes to receive more funds for the program.”
