Nov. 11th is a day where we remember all of our Veterans who have fought to protect our country and kept the people of the United States safe. With the approval of this legislation (Public Law 380) on June 1st, 1954, Nov. 11th became a day to honor American Veterans of all wars.
“I was in the Air Force for 21 and a half years before I became a school guidance counselor,” JCHS counselor John Long said. “I served in Operation Southern Watch and the Cold War.”
“After I retired from the Air Force, I saw the need for counselors in a lot of public schools,” Long said. “So I went back to school and got my masters in school counseling.”
