MidKnight Madness was held on Friday, Nov. 15th, to kick off Champe’s basketball season. It highlighted both the girls’ and boys’ teams for the upcoming season. Family, friends and staff of Champe and their feeder schools were invited to have fun with the players. After the players and coaches were introduced, a series of games and competitions were held, involving Champe performance groups and encouraging audience participation. Champe’s regular basketball season will start on Nov. 22nd.
“Champe’s dance team kicked off the performances, then we played musical chairs, had a three point contest, a co-ed basketball scrimmage as well as a dance competition,” varsity basketball coach William Hatchet said. “Finally, a line dance was held where kids and parents were encouraged to get up and hang out with the players.”
