Varsity Cheerleader Riya Chauhan flying for the John Champe Knights. The Knights were competing in the Loudoun County Mini DIstrict.
The Varsity John Champe cheer team made it to regionals and the All Region Cheer team has been selected and is lucky to have 6 cheerleaders make it. The Knights competed into the second round of regionals this year. Amelia Schwarz, Danica Eklund, and Riya Chauhan have all made Second Team. While Natalie Jan, Nat Thiessen, and Kayla Carter made First Team.
“I feel really good about getting First Team All Region last year I got Second Team and was hoping to get First Team,” Carter said. “Cheering has changed a lot, we have made so many accomplishments over this year making it to the second round of regionals and being the first team to do it at Champe.”
