Many students are not aware of the free tutoring services provided in many different forms at Champe. During the student’s study hall block, they are able to be paired with a fellow student tutor that can help teach the coursework in a one-on-one setting. This is an easily accessible and free resource for students to help them improve their learning skills at school and better prepare them with the material in their class. On the John Champe High School website there is also a portal which takes students and parents to a website with linked online resources for tutor materials. LCPS offers tutoring to all LCPS students through two means: individualized tutoring which is held during the day or after school, and on-demand tutoring through the Varsity tutors program which aids in homework help, writing support, and and live enrichment sessions.
“I was never aware that there were these resources available for me and now that I do I will be utilizing it frequently to help me with all my class,” junior Pragya Verma said. “
