A new hurricane named Milton has officially formed and is going to be a category five hurricane and hit the Gulf Coast of Florida on Wednesday October 9th. Hurricane Milton is expected to be one of the worst storms to hit Florida and is predicted to be extremely dangerous.
“I have family that lives in Tampa, Florida and they have lived there their whole lives,” junior Caitlyn Oak said. “My family in Tampa have been impacted by many hurricanes and only had to evacuate once, and their pretty prepared.”
“They didn’t evacuate for hurricane Milton, but they had a week off of school and lost power for a couple days,” Oak said. “Their house didn’t get hit too hard from the storm and only had minor damages, but their all safe and okay which is more important.”
