The Vice-Presidential debate took place on October 1, 2024. The debate was conducted through CBS News. Republican Vice-President-elect J.D. Vance and Democrat Vice-President-elect Tim Walz took the stage. At the beginning of the debate, both elects started with a handshake. The vice presidential elects kicked off the debate by talking about America’s current role in the Middle East. They also debate over topics such. as immigration and inflation. Both vice presidents also discussed how they would lower housing prices and reduce gun violence in schools if elected. Both candidates address certain issues provided to them and debate with each other regarding certain policies.
“To be honest, I thought was informative but boring,” junior Matt Reed said. “Typically, in the current debates we watched, there’s a lot of yelling and enthusiasm, but this one just didn’t live up to that.”
Aspirations float around hoping for a second debate between these two vice president-elects.
