College representative visits have been taking place at Champe with multiple a day, and on Wednesday, October 2, New York University will be visiting John Champe High School. NYU has never been to Champe before, along with some other schools like Columbia University. Despite the lack of presence at Champe, the interest these two college visits have gained from juniors and seniors is a lot. This is no surprise, as NYU has many programs that could interest a variety of students with their many majors to choose from. Jennie Mescon, the admissions officer for the area John Champe is located in, is the one hosting the session.
There’s a good amount of students who plan to attend this session, and senior Haasini Suravarapu is one of them, “I wanted to come to this visit because I’m interested in the school and wanted to learn more about going to college in New York City,” Suravarapu said.
NYU coming to visit opens more opportunities for Champe students, and can lead them to explore more options when thinking about their academic future.
