Champe is set to host its annual Homecoming dance this Saturday, September 28th, with the enchanting theme “A Magical Knight” with a Disney spin. Preparations are starting to be set up around the school, with vibrant disney princess decorations overtaking the main hallway. This year, there will be six themed areas: an arcade, a food area, a magic mirror photo animation station, a jungle themed lounge, and a bubble room dance floor designed by SCA to create a fun and interactive night for students at Champe. The spirit week leading up the event has had multiple Disney themed dress up days such as animation station, under the sea, and enchanted princesses. Lashundra Carter, the SCA sponsor, has played a big role in creating decorations, setting up decor, planning themes, and other necessary things in order to make it a magical night at Champe.
“This was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,” Carter said. “I hope people enjoy homecoming and get to experience having fun because a lot of hard work and time went into planning and preparing.”
