Avalon theater is ready to kick start their fall production, Midsummer, but they are yet to select their tech team for this year. To help assemble a crew, the JCHS theater hosted this year’s first tech interest meeting in the black box to gather all interested students. The meeting included important information, future events, and a description of all available teams and positions in the tech crew. Tech leads were also there to answer any questions, and give a tour of their department. After everyone chooses their team Avalon will be on track to start working on their fall show.
There was a noticeable difference in the amount of people interred in tech between this year’s meeting and last year’s meeting. There are multiple new members in each department ready to work and make this show happen. “I’m really excited to see the direction we go with costumes this year for both the fall and spring musical,” sophomore Ariel Infante said. “I’m also really excited for the potential to make more costumes as sewing is one of the best parts of costumes in my opinion, aside from seeing the actors actually wearing the costumes on stage.” With the addition of so many new artists and ideas, this show is on the path to success.
