On Sept. 9, 2024 the Varsity Softball team here at Champe held their interest meeting at the softball field. The meeting was for any students who were interested in joining the softball team in the spring, along with returning players. Players were advised to bring softball equipment and attire to the meeting as they held a light practice after the meeting. The practice post meeting was to give newcomers a feel of what it would be like on the team, and an opportunity for the coach to assess the players skills.
“At the meeting we covered a lot about how our team has done in the previous years and what our new goals are,” junior Ruby Price said. “We also talked about the expectations of being on the team for the newer players, along with our culture as a team.”
