On Monday, September 9th the John Champe Varsity Field Hockey beat Heritage Field Hockey in a double shootout in overtime. It was a back and forth battle between the two teams, making the game tied leading them to go into overtime shootouts.
“It was really scary, but also a really exciting feeling where your adrenaline was just kicking,” Varsity Field Hockey player Angela Lin said. “We were already in quadruple overtime so every shot counted.”
“The energy was nothing like i’ve felt before, every time one of our players went to shoot, me and my teammates all link arms for good luck,” Lin said. “This was by far the best game to experience and it was definitely boosted out confidence.”
