DECA had its first interest meeting on Wednesday after school in the cafeteria for all new and returning members who were curious to learn more about the club and what it had to look forward to for the 24-25 year. The meeting involved a presentation and was hosted by this year’s newest DECA executive team, including advisors Shannon Brown and Patrick Lucas, to formally introduce the club and its many opportunities. During the meeting, some returning members of the club gave emotional talks about their unique and personal experiences with DECA and why they decided to rejoin. This first meeting was considered a success for DECA due to the abundance of students who attended. Afterwards the students had a trip to the local Brusters ice cream shop as a spirit night to conclude the gathering.
“I am genuinely excited and stoked to be returning as a member for my second-year with DECA,” senior Ryan Kazzi said. “There are so many new things to look forward to and I can’t wait to relive it as I did last year.”
