The second annual Neon Out takes place this Friday at Champe, where the Champe Football will take on the local rival, Lightridge High School. Though this isn’t the first home game of the year, it’s the first one to take place during the academic school year, so many students are anticipating the game and planning on attending. Champe played Lightridge in the first Neon Out last year where Champe took home the win, so stakes are high to keep this streak going.
The student section loves to dress up for theme games, and Neon Out is a very bright and fun one to participate in. Senior Chloe Jang loves to go all out, “I’m planning to wear a bright colored top and shorts with a construction vest and some neon paint,” Jang said. “I love to dress up because I am proud to represent my school but also dressing out gets me engaged in the school spirit and excited for the games!”
The weather forecast looks great, the football team is ready to go, and the fans are ready to show up and support the team for a fun Friday night!
