Summer is approaching and Champe students are going to be traveling all over. Some students have not met the age limit for receiving a license, while others plan to drive around all summer long. Without the help of a vehicle, it’s quite hard to make plans with friends and go places.
“I’ve had my license since February and it’s made such a huge difference in my life” sophomore Macy Farester said. “This summer I’m so excited to go out and do things with my friends and be able to drive them around.”
Students without licenses are distressed with their summer plans. Some people believe that they’ll be missing out on valuable memories with their friends since they don’t have their license. Gaining a license is a form of freedom as a teenager as it allows them to hang out with their friends, explore the world, and try new things.
“I don’t have my license since I am not of age, I’m only 14,” freshmen Bernice Gao said. “I feel like I’m always missing out on fun hangouts and making memories because some of my friends have their license or their parents take them everywhere.”
Champe students will continue to make core memories for themselves, with or without a license. As summer starts, fun activities will open up for friends and family to enjoy. Enjoy the summertime and go have fun!
