On May 22nd, 2024, the senior prank was conducted at John Champe High School. This prank consisted of placing streamers around the school’s hallways, placing chairs on top of the stair railings, and other misplacement of items across the school. The seniors also placed a sign in the cafeteria saying that only seniors could sit there, which was a known rule before, but unfortunately was not enforced. The sign represents the contempt the seniors feel with the students who choose to disobey that rule. One highlight of the senior prank was the placement of cars in the senior parking spaces. The seniors made it so that no one else could park by parking so badly that other cars could not fit, which caused a minor disturbance in the parking lot. The student consensus is that the senior prank was tame, yet playful.
“The prank felt kind of lame,” sophomore Laila Naqvi said, “but I think that the parking lot idea was really funny. I hope our class does a funny senior prank as well.”
