As we approach the end of the school year, clubs, sports, and other communities at Champe are also hosting their very last events or championships. From May 22 to May 23, the band department will be holding their last concerts of the year. Each band will be performing 4 songs, including a few pop songs, which is a end-of-the-year tradition.
“For the last concert, Concert band 1, 2, 3, and 4 are each playing four pieces, and they’ll be conducted by the Champe band directors along with two student teachers,” an anonymous senior said. “They will each be playing four songs, including pieces from the Barbie movie, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Wicked The Musical. All of the bands mostly have the same instruments, like the Bass clarinet, the French horn, the Flute, and more. To prepare, we usually have a few morning rehearsals when concerts are coming up, but other than that, we practice a lot in class.
