On May 16th, 2024 the students in Orchestra had their final concert of the year. The students in Orchestra had been working very hard following their winter concert to prepare for this concert. The concert included pieces played by many different grade levels, and the concert was divided based on skill level. The concert started off with the eighth graders performing their pieces, then moved to the intermediate orchestra performances and following those performances the advanced orchestra did their pieces, and the concert finished with the artist orchestra performances. Students who were in the artist level orchestra performed three pieces, some of the main pieces that they performed were lullaby pieces from Mamma Mia and songs from The Greatest Showman.
“We would practice in class a lot to get prepared for the concert,” junior Aiden Gayles said. ” We also would do assigned graded recording parts of all our pieces.”
“I really enjoyed our concert,” Gayles said. “All of the pieces sounded really nice and my mom came to watch.”
