On May 9th, Champe Boys Lacrosse hosted Loudoun County High School at home for their last in-season game. The game was tight the entire time, maintaining only a one goal differential until the last quarter. After having been tied at 7-7 entering the 4th quarter, Champe was up 10-9 with two minutes left in the game; and they won the game.
Winning this game came as a huge surprise to the team and their fans, as they have had a losing season. By winning this game, the boys are now automatically in district playoffs. Woodgrove High School also won last night against Broad Run High School, so they are tied for winning the Catoctin District Championship with Champe.
