On May 6th, AP Exams kicked off at John Champe. There are 22 AP courses offered at Champe, so exams are being held for all of this week and all of next week. As a result of this, there is no Recharge for these two weeks. In a poll conducted with a sample size of 20 students, 12 of them, when asked about sources of recent stress, said that AP Exams were the main cause of their stress this week. One such exam that already occurred was the Computer Science A exam. This exam caused stress to many, and the exam itself was actually held later than usual because of a hold at Champe. Another exam that was already held was AP US and Comparative Government. These exams require full revision of all the content in the whole year, so diligent, disciplined studying is necessary. The stress for AP season is real and students are cramming for exams all over the school.
“I was really stressed before my Computer Science exam,” sophomore Humza Burney said, “but after I took it, there was a huge relief and it felt like the weight of the world was lifted off of my shoulders.”
