Champe’s Theater is holding its version of the play Cinderella on April 25th. Putting on the production of a play requires a lot of effort and creativity. One way this is shown in Cinderella is the artistic expression demonstrated through the characters. One of the characters in the play, The Fox, requires a clay mask that embodies the fox’s characteristics. Another way in which artistic expression is shown with the characters is in their makeup. On April 17th, the makeup team will experiment with different makeup looks for all the characters, to finalize the ones that fit the characters best. The makeup crew is also awarded with volunteer hours for their work.
“Prepping for a musical is hard, so it’s nice that we’re putting in this effort,” sophomore Sindhu Vempuluru said. “It all ends up being worth it in the end.”
