This week, 4/15- 4/19, Champe students participated in an exciting spring spirit week! Champe’s Student Council Associated worked alongside the students in Sources of Strength and collaborated to come up with themes for students to dress up for. They came up with themes that promoted the key ideas of Sources of Strength, like Mental Health and Mentor, and used an over theme of “Music, Genes and Playlists” to draw the attention of students and staff to dress up. The week started off with Monday as “Chill Playlist Day”. Students were suggested to dress up in comfy and cozy clothes like PJ’s. Tuesday was “SchoolHouse Rock” and students and teachers swapped their typical outfits with each other. On Wednesday, students and staff came up with coordinated outfits with their friends as iconic squads for “Squad Soundtrack. Wednesday is followed by Thursday which is “Knights Radio Day’ with sub themes given to each class. Freshmen are rock music, sophomores are R&B music, juniors are disco music, seniors are country music, and staff are soul music. Finally, to end the week, Friday is “Class Color Out” with freshmen wearing purple, sophomores wearing green, juniors wearing red, seniors wearing blue, and staff with orange. Knights love to try their best to participate in spirit days and also enjoy competing with the other classes for spirit points.
“I love spirit days, I always make sure to dress up and get my friends to do so too,” sophomore Natalie Alcancia said. “I especially enjoyed this spirit week because the themes were creative. Go Sophomores!”
